The Winterfest 2021 event is finally here in Fortnite and players can earn 12 free rewards by opening gifts during the event. There are two free skins to be won at Winterfest 2021 – Krisabelle and Polar Peely. There are plenty of other rewards to be had during the event, but these two are the hottest merchandise of this year’s Winterfest. You can only open one gift per day, however, so choose wisely. Here’s everything you need to know about the Winterfest 2021 gifts in Fortnite.

Fortnite Winterfest 2021 explained

Winterfest is an annual Fortnite event that brings Christmas festivities to the game in December. There are challenges that reward players with new gear, and there are also daily gifts that can be opened in the Winterfest Lodge that include even more free prizes. The gifts are the highlight of the event, because this is how players can earn the free Winterfest skins.

How to open Winterfest gifts

To open Winterfest gifts, Fortnite players only need to visit the Winterfest Lodge by navigating to the Snowflake tab in the lobby. When you make it to the lodge just select a gift and start unpacking.

You can shake gifts to find out what’s inside, or you can unwrap one right away. You can only open one gift per day, but if you forgot to open some gifts, you can come back anytime before the Winterfest event ends on January 6, 2022.

The best Winterfest 2021 gifts

Polar Peely and Krisabelle’s outfits are obviously the highlights of the event, but players won’t be able to get these skins until later in the event. Krisabelle can only be obtained after opening all of the gifts on the left, which is explained by the “Save for Last” label on the large yellow box with the skin on. Polar Peely, on the other hand, is only available on day 14 of the Winterfest event, when the ice around the present is thawing.

All other rewards, including the Choice Knit emote and the two weapon covers, can be obtained from the start. Don’t forget that you can log in and collect gifts until January 6th. So don’t worry if you miss a few days here and there. You can continue to receive your Krisabelle and Polar Peely skins as long as you log in to occasionally unwrap gifts.

While the Winterfest will last until January 6, 2022, it’s not the only exciting thing happening in Fortnite right now. Spider-Man’s web shooters have been added to the game that allow players to swing across the map at high speed. Not only that, Gears of War characters have also come to the island. There is plenty to see and do during Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1. So log in regularly to see all the new content.

Fourteen days is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
