Genshin impactVersion 2.0 brought the new Inazuma region into play, along with dozens of new quests, new playable characters, artifacts, weapon sets and of course a new set of domains to conquer.
With that in mind, we’ll now talk about how to unlock one of the game’s new domains, the one-of-a-kind Shakkei Pavilion domain.
How to unlock the Shakkei Pavilion at Genshin Impact
First you need to locate the domain, which is located in the southwestern part of the main Tatarasuna region and is enclosed behind a few rocks, initially within the formation.
In order to unlock the domain entry, you must first complete the Tatarasuna Tales side quest, in which the traveler destroys the barrier around the region and unlocks a whole new area.
You can unlock the quest pretty easily. We recommend doing this after completing the new main storylines in the game by speaking to two NPCs in the Kujou camp. On the quest you will have to help save the Inazuma region from an unexpected Fatui attack by destroying the barrier around the Mikage furnace. The quest is short and does not pose many challenges for the players, but completing it will give you access to the many Kamuijima cannons that are scattered throughout the region.
To unlock the domain entrance, all you need to do is locate the cannon present in the image below and point it at the rock formation in the same way as shown below. After the shot is hit, the domain entrance will be unlocked and the jackpot achievement will be won.

Tips for deleting the domain
On the domain, you will have to face some enemies, such as some Nobushis and Hitsukebans. To unlock the last tier of the domain, you will need to collect the appropriate seals to open the main door. Pretty easy undertaking.
In the last room you will face both a Fatui Mirror Maiden and a Fatui Pyro Agent. To defeat them, we recommend using a Pyro DPS to trigger Vaporize, or Cryo to freeze the Virgo in place.
It is recommended that you deal with the Mirror Maiden first, as the pyro agent will likely stay away and not be able to follow his companion’s movements.
- While defeating the maiden, stay mobile to avoid an attack by the pyro agent. The use of Barbara is recommended as she can apply Hydro to the agent and even make him visible in his invisible state.
