Respawn Entertainment has announced the abilities for Vantage, the Legend added in Apex Legends Season 14 – Hunted developer Respawn Entertainment has regularly kept the game updated since its launch.
Around every 12 weeks, the battle royale has had a new Legend, map changes and gameplay tweaks. This has kept the game fresh and is one of the most popular free-to-play battle royales around.
The youngest Legend to enter the games, Vantage is a sniper that grew up on the harsh ice planet Págos. A new Recon Class, Vantage’s abilities will allow her to gather information on enemy squads and take a position at the perfect vantage point. Vantage is a sniper specialist that is deadliest at the range, as her abilities show.
Passive – Spotter’s Lens
Using her Spotter’s Lens, Vantage gets a tactical read of enemies in sight, including their shield rarity, team size and range. This allows her and her squad to strategies before engaging.
Tactical – Echo Relocation
I haven’t mentioned this yet, but Vantage has a cute little bat companion named Echo, he’s a cutie. Using her Tactical, Vantage can order Echo to fly at a position and, when activated, she launches to that spot using her jetpack.
Ultimate – Sniper’s Mark
Whipping out her custom-made sniper rifle that has its own ammo pool, Vantage’s enemies are revealed when aiming down the scope. If hit by the rifle, enemies are highlighted for your whole squad for ten seconds and will take increased damage from all incoming fire.
Apex Legends Season 14 Hunted – New Legend & Map Changes
Season 14 will see the introduction of the new legend Vantage. Her full name is Xiomara ‘Mara’ Contreras, born and raised on the ice planet of Pagos. Her mother raised her to survive in the icy climes, forming her into a keen ranged expert.
Season 14 Hunted will also see several changes to the King’s Canyon Map. Dubbed King’s Canyon Reforged, the changes include a new POI named Relic to the game’s oldest map.
Apex Legends Season 14 Hunted – other changes
The new season will also see an increase in the game’s level cap. There are now three new levels from 1-500, based on a prestige system.
Every time you reach level 500, you will return to level 1 but with new gold, a badge to mark your progress. Three new prestige levels will be added, making a whopping 2000 levels to beat.
Some of the other changes this season will include the removal of the Guardian Angel perk on backpacks. They will also remove the auto-revive buff on Gold Knockdown Shields.
Gameplay changes in Apex Legend Season 14
One of the big changes is the removal of Self-revive from the game. Golden Shields will now give players the Guardian Angel perk instead. Gold Backpack won’t have Guardian Angel anymore. It will be replaced with Deep Pockets, which allow more meds and shield batteries to be stacked. Deep Pockets will let players stack up to 3 medkits/shield batteries and 2 phoenix kits.
Season 14 Supply Drop weapons have been changed. The G7 Scout and Volt SMG will be now available as ground loot while the Bocek Bow and Rampage LMG shall be moved to the supply drops.
