WoW Dragonflight: How to Sign up Beta?

Dragonflight has been announced as the next expansion for World of Warcraft. Even if the release is likely to be quite a while away, a beta is at least roughly recognizable on the horizon. To be able to play directly, however, you have to register – we’ll tell you how to do that.

It’s official: the next expansion for World of Warcraft is taking us to the Dragon Isles. Dragonflight will bring a lot of exciting changes to the title, including a new heroic race/class combo (the Dracthyr Evoker). So how do you get involved in the beta, both to help test the new upcoming talent system and pal around with ducks, and get your hands on the expansion before anyone else?

The old beta opt-in system comprised a separate page associated with your Battle.net account, where you could check a box for each franchise you wanted to contribute to testing and capturing your computer’s hardware profile. This centralized the menu but could be frustrating to find over the years. You’d need to make sure your hardware profile was constantly updated as you swapped computer hardware. But luckily, that process has gone the way of the dodo as Blizzard updated their integration of the Battle.net account system.

Blizzard Entertainment revealed the next World of Warcraft (WoW) expansion, entitled Dragonflight. In our opinion, it is one of the most exciting expansions to date, as players will travel to Dragon Isles, learn to ride and control dragons, and enjoy the new hero class/race combo Dracthyr Evoker, level up to 70, and much more. If this sounds enticing, then we’ve got you covered with a guide to joining the WoW: Dragonflight beta test. You can already sign up for the WoW: Dragonflight beta. We at BGN reveal where this is possible.

How to join the WoW: Dragonflight beta?

You can register for the beta on the official website of WoW: Dragonflight. Just make sure you’re logged in with the correct Battle.net account and click the “Beta Sign Up” button. Wait a few moments, and you should see “Thanks for signing in, [account name].”Once that’s done, you’re signed up for the beta. However, keep in mind that registering does not guarantee participation – there is only one chance of being invited to the beta.

When does the Dragonflight beta start?

Neither the start of the alpha nor the beta has been announced yet. Even though registration is already possible, Blizzard has not yet announced a date. According to their statements, they are working “at full speed” to be able to start an alpha and beta test as soon as possible. But even here, it is still unclear whether one is talking about weeks or months.

Beware of “key promises”: But beware! In the past, dubious sites have repeatedly tried to sell you “beta keys” and asked for your bank details or login data. As a rule, Blizzard does not issue keys for the betas of WoW extensions but activates the corresponding accounts directly. So don’t fall for such scammers. If you’re ever approved for the beta, a quick look at the Battle.net app should make that clear.

When is Dragonflight released?

Here, too, there is no binding date yet. However, suppose you consider that the 3rd season of Shadowlands has only been running for a few weeks and that there will be a 4th season, which will probably last 4 – 6 months. In that case, everything should indicate that Dragonflight won’t be released in 2022 and will probably not be released until spring or summer 2023. As soon as there is official information from Blizzard about a release window – whether for the beta or the launch of the expansion – we will inform you about it.
