Different types of enemies are common all over the world of ValheimWith Rancid remains to be one of the rarer ones out there. Although they resemble a greenish version of normal skeletons, they’re much stronger than them, coupled with some nasty poison attacks, which makes them a little more difficult to encounter. Below you will find how and where to look for them, loot their materials and trophies.
How and where to find rancid remains in Valheim
There are two ways to find rancid remains in your biome, one being the legitimate method and the other using certain “cheats”. If you don’t mind using the latter, the process is really simple, and we’ll go into the first way too.
The easy way to counter rancid remains is to generate them via console commands. You can even only spawn the dropped items and trophies. So if that’s what you’re looking for, give in Commands in the F5 console, and then enter the Spawn TrophySkeletonPoison Command, you can create these elements right away.
If you want to go the normal and regular route, you will find Rancid Remains in Valheim in burial chambers, which are mainly found in the Black Forest and very rarely in the meadows. If you explore the dungeon-like area for a while, you can spot these green skeletons lurking there. They are not a threat to themselves other than their poison attack, but if you are flanked by a few of them things can get bad very quickly.
Another way to find these skeletons is through the Skeleton Surprise event. However, since it is not a solid form of farming for items and materials, it is not recommended to rely solely on farming for these creatures. Just crawl a little through the burial chambers and you will come across as many rancid remains as you want.
Valheim is now available through Steam Early Access. For more information on the game, see official website.
