Eroded Skeleton is a crafting material in Monster Hunter Rise that many players will need at some point in the game. This material is needed to make the complete bone armor set, but it is also used in a few other recipes. Although it is actually a very common material, it can only be obtained from a specific area. Fortunately, it is usually harvested in large quantities so it won’t take long to collect if you need a few. This is where you can find Eroded Skeleton in Monster Hunter Rise.
Where to find eroded skeleton in Monster Hunter Rise
Eroded Skeleton can only be obtained in the Sandy Plains. It is harvested from bonepiles that are scattered throughout the region. Bonepiles are commonly found in Areas 9 and 12, although there are a few other places you can find some in the Sandy Plains.
To make it easier to find, press the + key then R to switch to the Quests tab of the menu. From there, select Detailed Map. Then press the X button to toggle the icon list selection and select Bone Stack from the Materials 2 tab. This will show you all of the bonepiles in the Sandy Plains and you can always go back to this screen if you can’t find any.
You can also just use our maps below to find every bonepile in the Sandy Plains.
Although there are several bonepiles in the area, you probably only need to visit a few of them to get the eroded skeleton you need. Eroded skeleton has a very high chance of falling off bonepiles which is great as it is used in some craft recipes. Those trying to make the entire bone armor set need a ton of eroded skeletons, and these materials are even used in a handful of other pieces from other armor sets like the Kulu-Ya-Ku brackets and the Barroth helmet and greaves.
Monster Hunter Rise is now available on Nintendo Switch. A PC version of the game is slated to be released in 2022.
