UFC 4 Update 10.00 Patch Notes

Important updates:

  • 2 new fighters have been added, Rob Font and Ciryl Gane
  • Venum gear has replaced the previous Reebok gear
  • Combat kits can now be selected while selecting the fighter
  • Daniel Cormier has been upgraded to Legend and 5 Star Overall in Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight

Community feedback:

  • Fixed inconsistency in large lunges for Cruz and Dillashaw
  • Significantly enlarged rejection window for Cage Back Clinch Back Drive
    • That dismantling was pretty quick considering it leads to a back seat that is in a dominant position. It often worked as a shortcut to the mighty Rear Naked Choke. This nerf for takedown should make access to the choke much more difficult, especially because the nerfing of the rear drive also indirectly nerfs the confusion with the backpack.

In contrast to high-low mix-ups with throws, this mix-up between rear drive and backpack does not have an anti-fuzzy guard mechanism. This means that an experienced defender can hold a high block in case the attacker tries a backpack, then switch to a low block and still defend the retreat in time. This does not completely get the defender out of the woods as there may still be a follow-up round to defend. However, these turns only lead to side control and can generally be confused at least during the reaction.

It is also important to remember that when starting to reverse, the defender should release the left joystick as soon as possible after walking back out of the cage. Otherwise, input from the left stick will be interpreted as an attempt to defend a turn and may result in the success of the retraction.

Finally, also keep in mind that the regular bodylock throws from the cage back clinch benefit from the anti-fuzzy guard logic even though the back resistance / backpack is severely torn apart. This means that if the defender camps on a high block as part of the Option Select strategy to defend the confusion of backdrive and retreat, the attacker can make a regular body lock throw and possibly succeed because the defender has a high Block has held. This should give these litters a nice new niche as they weren’t exactly exhilarating back then.

  • Increased recovery rates for the advancing sliding rear hook
    • The slip hook has been a major community complaint for a while now. We finally managed to improve it by increasing all of the restores. This means that they can no longer be executed very quickly one after the other. In addition, the special counter works consistently against it from a block to a lead hook, now there is no more time to block or move it.
  • Fixed a bad condition in Over Under strikes against the submissive journey
  • The problem with the reflection in the over under knee has been fixed
    • The posture of the submissive fighter no longer warps after the separation.
  • Jake Matthews likeness updated
