Super Mario Maker 2 Update: Create Whole Worlds
A new update for Super Mario Maker 2 has been available since the middle of this week. Nintendo calls it the final update and extends the fun with the new world mode. Furthermore, there are the Koopalinge and a swing new level elements.
In Build World mode, several built levels can be linked together on a world map. The entire structure is determined: from the starting point to the castle at the end of the world. The appearance of the world map can be chosen at will so that you can combine up to eight worlds with a total of up to 40 courses. This makes it almost possible to create a complete Super Mario game. This can then be shared with his friends.
With the Super Mario Maker 2, other villains also come into play: the Koopalinge. All seven henchmen from the top villain Bowser can now be integrated into the Jump’n’Run courses – each with their movement pattern. The mask-like key keeper Phanto, the wind-up Robo-koopas and other villains are also new opponents.

Also, the free update brings additional power-ups and level elements. The mushroom from Super Mario Bros. 2, for example, gives Mario and his friends a look they have in the adventure of the same name. This enables them to pick up and throw objects and enemies. Also new: the frog suit from Super Mario Bros. 3, with which Mario can swim through the water and even walk on water. Other new power-ups include the Power Balloon from Super Mario World, the Super Acorn from New Super Mario Bros. U and the boomerang flower from Super Mario 3D World. Five other aids such as the cannon box and propeller box also come from the same game.
The update has been available since April 22nd and can be downloaded to the Nintendo Switch console free of charge. Click here for the game in the Nintendo eShop .
