Eventually, when you play through The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, you must find the windmill propeller that fell under the clouds. For the folks at Skyloft, this basically means the dropped item is gone forever, but that’s not really a problem for you thanks to the pillars of light on the tablets. But before you can just run to find this dropped item, you need to do a little bit of prep first. Since you have no way of getting it back to heaven even if you happen to find it.
How to find the windmill propeller
After you have been given the task of finding the windmill’s propeller, the first thing you need to do is find a way to get it back to the sky after you find it. Fortunately, Gonzo can help you with this because his family owns a robot that used to travel under the clouds. Talk to him and you will find that the robot needs to be fixed and that it needs an ancient flower to get it working again. If you don’t already have one, they’re easy to find in the Lanayru area near Timeshift Stones. So give him one and the robot is ready to use in no time.
Now is the time to track down the propeller for yourself, which you can do by commuting, but that may take a while. Fortunately, however, the propeller is in a place you’ve been before. You may even remember having seen him before. You will have to fly over to the red pillar of light and descend into the Eldin region, specifically all the way to the dungeon entrance. Go left from the dungeon entrance and head to the tower that you had to blow up to dig up a key piece underneath. Right next to the ruins of this tower is the propeller. Just call Fi by your side and let the robot pick it up for you, then all you have to do is fly in the sky to complete it.
