This Sunday is the long-awaited Snivy Community Day Event in Pokémon GO. Players have six hours to catch as many of the smug-looking green characters as possible, with a chance to catch a shiny Snivy. But that’s not all you can do during the event. There are other bonuses and lots of activities to enjoy. To help you get the most out of everything, check out our Snivy Community Day event guide for Pokémon GO here.
Snivy Community Day Event Guide for Pokémon GO
As with all of these types of events, Snivy Community Day will give the Grass-type Pokémon various bonuses throughout the day. In addition to spawning more frequently, there are much greater chances of catching Shiny Snivy. But that is not all. So read on to find out everything you need to know about the event.
When is Snivy Community Day, how long does it take?
Snivy Community Day begins on Sunday, April 11th at 11am in your local time zone. The entire event then lasts six hours and ends at 5 p.m. for your local time. However, the exclusive bonus for movement development remains for two more hours (see below). So everything is done by 7pm, but most of the Community Day celebration is over by 5pm.
What are the Snivy Community Day Bonuses?
Here are the great bonuses or activities to take part in during Snivy Community Day in Pokémon GO.

That’s all that happens during Snivy Community Day in Pokémon GO. But there are more questions. We’ll cover a big one below.
Snivy Community Day Exclusive Move – Is It Worth Moving On?
Evolve Snivy to Servine and then Serperior either during the event or within two hours afterwards and you will have a Serperior who knows the frenzy plant attack. All CD events feature an exclusive train like this one. Since it’s event-locked unless you’re using an Elite ChargedTM, the resulting Serperior is rare and will likely be the most powerful of its species as its other movements aren’t as powerful.
Just because it’s the best serperior it can be doesn’t mean it’s actually useful or worth developing. Frenzy Plant is a powerful charged attack, especially since it requires so little energy to charge. Serperior isn’t the strongest grass-type character in Pokémon GO, however. While this makes for the best Serperior you can have, I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to keep a few of them evolving.
PvP is the only area where Frenzy Plant Serperior could be useful as there are already clear alternatives for raids that deal more damage. Venusaur and Meganium, for example, which have both been around for a long time and are likely already in your Pokédex. However, if you don’t have these, then it makes sense to keep evolving. And if you’re looking to put together a Great or Ultra League team with Frenzy Plant Serperior, having one or two helps too.
In short, if you don’t develop a few Frenzy Plant Serperior, don’t worry as these aren’t the best grass attackers out there. But make sure you get a pair when you have the candy left over. Otherwise, you can just focus on the gathering aspects of the event, such as: B. on a couple of Shiny Snivy.
And that’s our Snivy Community Day Event Guide for Pokémon GO. Hopefully we’ve answered all of your questions, but be sure to check for updates as the event approaches.
