With the end of Snivy Community Day and the Spring in Spring event before it’s time for Rival week in the Pokémon GO. This rivalry-themed event will feature some new types of Pokémon, some bonuses, and a lot of things that players can focus on and enjoy over the next few days. Rivals’ Week Event Guide for Pokémon GO

Below we try to answer all the important and frequently asked questions about Rivals’ Week, the newest event in Pokémon GO.

When is the week of the rivals, when does it begin and when does it end?

Rival Week begins Tuesday, April 13th at 10 a.m. in Pokémon GO in your local time zone. This means that it will be rolling out soon in some parts of the world, debuting hourly for new players until everyone can participate. But despite what the name suggests, the whole thing won’t take a whole week. Rivals Week ends on Sunday, April 18 at 8 p.m. local time. So you only have five days to make the most of it.

What are the Rival Week bonuses?

  • Increased Team GO rocket grunts at Poké Stops and Balloons
    • Currently disabled, no announcement when the feature will return
  • Take part in the Global Challenge Arena to unlock more bonuses
    • Fight in raids
    • Unlock 2x Card Stardust
  • Event exclusive wild spawns (see below)
  • Event exclusive egg hatches (see below)
  • Event exclusive raids (see below)
  • Debut of Skrelp and Clauncher and their evolved forms

News Pokémon debut during Rival Week

Skrelp, its evolved form Dragalge and Clauncher, and its evolved form Clawitzer are making their Pokémon GO debut for Rivals’ Week. We set out how to catch them here. Make sure you get enough to evolve before they get rarer and you have to work a lot harder for the candies.
