It’s already April, or soon will be in your part of the world, and Arlo, Cliff and Sierra are back in Pokémon GO. The Team GO Rocket Leaders never really seem to sleep, offering players constant challenges as they set off to battle Giovanni. As always, we’re here to offer tips and tricks on how to take down these enemies with the best counters. How to beat Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra in Pokémon GO for April 2021.

How to beat the Team GO rocket leaders

Before we dive into the best opponents against Arlo, Cliff and Sierra, we always want to offer advice on strategy and tactics to defeat them. If you already know the mechanics, just skip the specific counters you need against the teams at Team GO Rocket Leaders. But when you’re struggling, these tips can mean the difference between winning and losing hard.

The best tip for defeating Arlo, Cliff, or Sierra is simply to switch Pokémon as soon as the battle begins. You see, changing Pokémon introduces a delay on the enemy’s side, allowing you to make about 2 seconds worth of attacks. Not only does this deal damage, but it also charges your charged attack. Usually you will place your actual lead-off character in the second or third position and swap them out immediately.

And that character should probably have a quick attack because using an attack also causes the 2 second delay. The Team GO rocket leader also uses his shield against the first 2 charged attacks you make. Knowing this, you can focus on using them quickly instead of actually countering or harming them.

Once you have that rhythm set you should be able to win if you have solid counters. Here’s how to beat Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra with the best counters in Pokémon GO for April 2021.

Note: some counters struggle for survival when the incoming attack is a tough counter against them. In this case, use another one from the list.
