Outrider has a Autoloot This feature has been built into the game and allows players never to miss a crucial drop. It’s on by default, and there are a few things you should know about the feature if you don’t want to dump your hard-earned loot (especially with all the server failures here at startup).
Toggle autoloot in Outriders either after death, leaving an area, or with the push of a button.
Autoloot in Outriders works in a number of ways. You have probably already seen the first method triggered upon death. Yes, all of this loot that was added to your inventory when you bit the bullet (s) was recorded via the autoloot function.
When you leave an area in Outriders and load into a new one, any loot you may not have found will be captured by the autoloot feature. While it might feel weird not to search every inch of the soil for every drop, it will make it easier for you to rest knowing the feature will grab your prey for you in case you miss something as you exit.
Finally, the automatic start can be switched manually at any time by either pressing the control pad with a controller or tapping the “H” key on the keyboard. This results in the autoloot feature in Outriders capturing anything that has fallen on the ground and can be looted (i.e. it won’t touch any prey that is still falling out of a dead enemy).
You can use this feature to loot loot between firefights (in case the servers melt) or to network loot that a buddy may have generated from a box far from your position. It also reaches for dropped keys, which is helpful if yours accidentally fall through the earth.
Before you go crazy with the autoloot feature in Outriders, be sure to open up the settings and change the minimum rarity it captures. By default, Epic is set, which is helpful in the late game but not so much while you’re working on the campaign. You can set this to General if you want, although I would prefer to set mine to Unusual (green).
Outrider is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and Stadia available.
