Outrider does not offer the typical level of difficulty that is often found in other games when starting a new campaign or scouring the game options. The traditional difficulty levels are being replaced by World Tiers. People Can Fly allows players to customize the challenge as they see fit.
There are 15 world levels, each of which offers tougher opposition with the benefit of better bonuses than the previous level. If you find that your cargo is blowing through the meaty targets or the opponent is nearly unbeatable, the world level can be changed at any time to best suit your current martial arts.
How to change planes of the world
World tiers can be changed either in the lobby or in the pause menu (titled Game Menu). When you click the World Tier option in either area, the World Tier selection screen appears.
Here you can activate the desired world level. However, not all levels are unlocked by default. A progress bar, separate from player level, fills over time as XP is earned. Filling the bar unlocks the next level.
If the setting “Automatically set the highest available level” is activated, the game switches automatically as soon as a new level becomes available. It is recommended that players find a comfortable level for their first campaign run rather than letting the game increase the difficulty on its own. World Tiers are not a natural evolution that is adequately scaled for those not yet in the endgame.
Here you will find all the available World Tiers and their associated bonuses.
Outriders is now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Stadia available.
