Monster Hunter Rise was released recently and has given Nintendo Switch owners the chance to get the closest thing possible to Monster Hunter World on the platform. While not quite as extensive, there is still a lot to do in the game, including a variety of different village quests. One of these tasks is to find unique mushrooms. This guide will tell you where to look for them.
Where to find unique mushrooms
The Fungal Frustration Village Quest challenges you to find eight unique mushrooms in the Shrine Ruins that are not in the game, but not all of which can be found on level ground. As with all quests, the map shows you an area where these are located. Finding these quests can prove to be a little tricky, however.
Compared to most of the retrieval quests in Monster Hunter Rise, you will find that most of the unique mushrooms are in the same general area. The only problem is that if you get to marker 4 or so you will spot a mountain on your way. There is a trail that will take you through the mountain, but you will also learn that it does not contain mushrooms.
Instead, you will need to find some grapevines to climb up the wall and get into this area and start exploring. The mushrooms aren’t as stacked as they appear on the map, but they’re still pretty close. What you are looking for is something unique: a colony of mushrooms. Just find eight of them in the shrine ruins and you will complete the quest. If you have trouble finding enough here, the ones you snapped up will eventually reappear.
Monster Hunter Rise is now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Also take a look at all the other guides that you can find here as well.
