Monster Hunter Rise: How to Get Poison Pouches

When you want to craft or upgrade an early stage poison weapon Monster Hunter RiseIt is almost certain that you are gong in order to need yourself Poison bag. This particular material comes from poisonous monsters, of course, and strangely enough, this title has quite a few at the very beginning of your adventure. Let’s see what is the best way to grow some poison sacks.

How and where to find poison sac in Monster Hunter Rise

As the name suggests, a poison sac is an organ of poisonous creatures found in the Monster Hunter Rise wildlife. No less monsters, don’t be confused just because they spit out poison. Only large monsters can drop this material, either when killed, carved, or captured.

As you can see in the picture above, we already have a winner on which monster is best to hunt and breed to get some poison sacks. The Great Wroggi has the best chance of giving you this item out of any other low rank poisonous target. Which is strange to say the least, since beasts like the Pukei-Pukei are clearly far more efficient at using poisonous skills than the easy-to-hunt Great Wroggi. But they have a very low 10% drop rate chance of giving out a poison pouch. However, this works better for us hunters who want to spend as little time as possible breeding just one particular ingredient for our weapons. Please note, however, that catching the Great Wroggi does not increase the chances of dropping. So take it out.

Finally, it’s good to mention that Basarios drops both the poison and flame sacks, making it a very good alternative if you want to try and get both sacks. The chances of them falling are much lower, however, and Basarios is a much tougher fight, especially early on. However, if you’re in the mood for a challenge, Basarios is waiting for you at Lava Caverns and Sandy Plains.
