Update 2.28 has arrived for Minecraft and here is the full list of changes and fixes added with this patch. Mojang revealed this patch, known collectively as 1.17.11 (Bedrock) today, on its feedback website, stating that it would appear on Xbox consoles first and other platforms in the coming days. In the meantime, however, it has also arrived on the PS4. Everything here is new with Minecraft update 2.28.

Minecraft Update 2.28 patch notes

  • Players no longer die and immediately reappear after returning to Overworld from the end under certain circumstances (MCPE-135226)
  • Players no longer die and get stuck on the respawn screen when entering an end portal after dying in certain seeds at the end (MCPE-132484)
  • Fixed a crash that could occur on Xbox when the title was suspended and resumed for the second time
  • Horses no longer become invisible after dismounting (MCPE-108568)
  • On realms, the ‘/ msg’ command works again when the world is in survival mode and cheats are disabled (REALMS-7760)
  • After renewing an expired realm, the realm is now properly renewed instead of a new realm being created (REALMS-7263)

This latest Bedrock update for Minecraft isn’t that big but instead focuses on some existing issues that have plagued some players lately. Some of these relate to player deaths in-game, with the solution for getting stuck on the respawn screen being particularly helpful. There was an issue with pausing and resuming the game on Xbox in particular, which has now been resolved. The somewhat strange bug that horses become invisible when dismounting is also fixed here. The last two fixes relate to in-game realms, which you can read more about above.

Minecraft is available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, Android, and many other platforms. More information about the game can be found on the Minecraft feedback website.
