How to rotate objects, items and furniture

Of course, you could go through the tutorials again or flick through the hints, but switching between the PC and PS4 versions can just be a waste of time. How to rotate objects in The Sims 4

To rotate objects in Sims 4 on the keyboard, you must first be in Build mode, then select the object you want and either right-click, press the comma and period keys, or use the drag method to rotate the object accordingly. See below for more detailed customization methods.

While most players use a keyboard and mouse for the Sims 4, the game is also available on consoles, so we’ll also be sharing how to rotate items with a controller. Remember, these assume you are in build mode in order to work.

  • On the keyboard, after left-clicking an item, press the right mouse button for a quick 45-degree rotation, or use the period and comma keys on your keyboard to rotate right and left, respectively.
  • On the controller, grab the item, hold down L1 and R1 (or LB and RB if using an Xbox controller), and use the right stick to rotate the item as needed. There are other methods, but this one is the most reliable of getting your furniture exactly where you want it to be.
