With the release of Destiny 2 Season of the Lost includes several new weapons, one of which features the shiny new Ascendency, Destiny’s new ritual rocket launcher. Because of the many weapon changes that have rocked the PvE meta, and different nerfs and buffs on different weapons, people are starting to venture into using different loadouts. That being said, some are still looking for a weapon to take to conquer this infamous anarchy slot. Enter Ascendency, this season’s ritual weapon.
Ascendency is essentially the rocket launcher shape of today’s sunset Wendigo GL3 Grenade launcher. This rocket launcher rolls the perk Explosive Light, which allows the weapon to do more damage by picking up an orb of power. On top of that, it also rolls the Chain Reaction perk if you want more explosions around you. If this rocket launcher is similar to the Wendigo GL3, it will be a force to be reckoned with in PvE.
How to get Ascension in Destiny 2
For the past few seasons, the player has visited the tower gunsmith Banshee-44 to get the ritual weapon search, but that has changed with Season of the Lost. To acquire the Ascendency Rocket Launcher, you must Reach Rank 16 in either Vanguard (Strikes), Crucible or Gambit Rank. After that, you can go to the playlist provider where you ranked 16th and buy the Ascendency rocket launcher. We personally recommend either Crucible or Strikes as these seem like the quickest playlists to make progress, but if you consider yourself a battle-hardened dredge, Gambit may be more your speed.
Destiny 2 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Google Stadia.
