F1 22 latest update F2 2022 season and My Team icon
Codemasters and Electronic Arts continue to beef up EA SPORTS F1 22 content with a series of updates starting October 11th. F2 gains prominence with the 2022 FIA Formula 2 World Championship. Players can now take to the grid for the 14-round season, including the F2 Sprint, competing against new entrants Logan Sargeant, Jack Doohan and newly crowned champion Felipe Drugovich.
The popular My F1 Team 22 proprietary mode gets a surprise on October 17 with Mika Häkkinen as the game’s latest icon. The ‘Flying Finn’ won back-to-back world championships in 1998 and 1999 and was one of the most respected pilots of his generation. Champions Edition players can ignite old rivalries as they compete against other game icons, including Michael Schumacher, whom Häkkinen called his greatest rival.

Following the FORMULA 1 HONDA JAPANESE GRAND PRIX 2022, McLaren Racing’s Future Mode special livery, inspired by the futuristic and innovative landscapes of Singapore and Japan, is included as a free download for all players for a limited time. Players will also have the option to permanently download the Future Mode livery for free starting in December and equip it on the player’s car.
With the F1 season heading west, all players will receive free US-inspired content via in-game email. Starting October 17, a US-inspired uniform, helmet, racing suit and gloves will be available alongside The Griddy podium celebration. The dance, which took US sports celebrations to a new level, finally comes to F1 22 for all player-created drivers and female players. Other customization items are available to unlock in the 30 Podium Pass series, three Free and VIP levels, launching October 12.
